Although I’m always thankful to Abba for a new day, there are simply just some days I wake up without the mental or physical energy to get up and get going.  I want to remain lying in my beautiful canopy bed, listening to the beautiful sound of my waterfall fountain flowing while basking in the fullness of relaxation whether it’s a rainy or sun shiny day (smile).  Have you ever had days like that?  Then I ponder how effective it is to live what I deem the “God-Love Life” on a daily basis and realize that I can’t waste any precious God-given moments or opportunities to release the awesome Love of God to the world.  Living the God-Love Life has not only been a blessing to me, but walking in consistent unconditional Love through the power of the Holy Spirit residing within me has blessed all those within the sphere of my influence as well.  The God-Love Life defined:  It is a lifestyle of being the Son or Daughter of God who looks like, acts like, serves like, and above all, love like their Heavenly Father who created us for His glory!  Learning to do so through a personal relationship with DaddyGod is an ongoing process:  The closer we draw nearer to Him, the more of Him becomes the character and fabric of who we are and what we’re made of as His Royal Children!

“Because He Is, We Are… The Sons & Daughters of God!”

The transforming, motivating, healing and inspiring power of God’s unconditional Love is amazing!  In fact, it’s so amazing, it is too good to not wholeheartedly embrace or have the passionate energy necessary to receive for ourselves as well as release to others.  By Abba’s grace, I personally look forward to seeing another day full of His Love flowing towards and outside of me.  With each new day, His unfailing Love gives me an instantaneous energy boost causing my feet to hit the ground, up and literally running for my “God-Love Life!”  Consequently, I now include in my morning prayers, especially on those mornings I don’t feel like getting up, this specific prayer request:

“DaddyGod, please provide me with the inner energy and strength I need to face this new day You’ve blessed me with; I thank and praise You in advance for energizing this good ‘ole God-Love Life of mine that You, and only You, empower me to live for my benefit and Your glory!”

I pray that the loving and energizing power of our Havenly Father will continue to rest, rule and abide upon us as Sons and Daughters of God moreso now than ever before enabling us to change the outside world for the better by allowing Him to make the necessary changes within us personally.  “DaddyGod I, Your Daughter Darnella,  humbly ask, please begin with me!”

Remember, being a Royal Son or Daughter of God is not about being in a religion, but more importantly, it’s predicated upon you having and being in a personal relationship with your Heavenly Father and Lord who created and loves you!  Once you return to Abba, don’t worry about your issues or shortcomings, He’ll do the rest.  As my fellow BTR Host, Royal Bro. Darren, ministered so powerfully on last week’s show, “soul salvation is an ongoing process.” You may not be the ultimate picture of who DaddyGod has purposed you to be, but surely you can ponder the mirrored reflection of yesterday and clearly see that since returning home to Abba, you are not the same person you used to be! Hallelujah to God be all the glory!

I love you, am praying for you and thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting my intentional endeavors to touch the world with God-Love.

Loving Abba & You Always,
Your Royal Sister Darnella

America, It’s Time To Love!

Evangelist DarnellaAmerica – to include whites and blacks, rich and poor, Jews, Gentiles, Muslims, Buddhists and Atheists, Republicans and Democrats, our Creator God has a direct message for you: It’s time to stop hating, fighting and demeaning one another. It’s time to love!

“How wonderful it is, how pleasant, when brothers live together in harmony!” (Proverbs 133:1)

As an African-American, Christian, single Mother who did not hesitate to exercise my right to vote (that ironically was achieved during my birth year through the Civil Rights Voting Act) in the mid-term elections with my 11-year-old son beside me, I am appalled and pained by the barbaric way we treat one another during election season. The electoral season of any nation that has the privilege to have one should be a season approached and replete with Godly love, human dignity and familial unity. Instead, it has become the extreme opposite for our country—the land of the free, the home of the brave—as a result of extremist ideologies and differing solutions.  In God’s sight, there is no left or right as we witness through the life of Jesus Christ who ate with and served the righteous and sinner, as well as the rich and poor alike. In fact, God hates sin whether it’s dressed up as self-righteousness (as the Republican right can sometimes appear) or a total lack thereof (as the Democratic left can sometimes appear). He, our heavenly Father, loves us as sinners saved by grace in spite of our shortcomings. Shouldn’t we as His created ones made in His image and likeness at least do the same?

“Rulers lead with my help, and nobles make righteous judgments.” (Proverbs 8:16)

From the White House, to the Senate, House of Representatives, local Government and community, all of us as leaders must seek out the wisdom of God in order to make good decisions for our nation. We may mean well or think we know what is best as individual citizens, but if we prayerfully submit our thoughts to the One Who already knows them, we just may find that we’re completely clueless after all. Every President we’ve elected, including our current President Barak Obama, has surrounded himself with sound spiritual leadership to gain wise spiritual counsel realizing that without the help of our Almighty God, they’d fail to make America a home of love, power and prosperity.

“Godliness makes a nation great, but sin is a disgrace to any people.” (Proverbs 14:34) “Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty.” (Proverbs 21:5)

I love, honor and respect each and every President, Republican or Democrat,  past and current, who laid down his life along with his family, answered the call and accepted the challenge to lead our nation towards greatness in his own way. Their willingness to do so in and of itself proves that they have a heart of love for our nation. Join me in praying for, as opposed to complaining about, our President and other elected officials that God will turn their hearts towards wise decision-making for the best interest of our country. As importantly, let us treat each other with love, kindness, respect and grace in all that we do even if we don’t agree on how to do it.

May God bless America. But my fellow Americans, may we in turn also bless God. America, there is a time and season for all things… It’s time to love!

In His Love & Unity,
Your Fellow Citizen Darnella Moore

My Assignment at IMSS’ Tea Social

On last Saturday, I was so very honored and abundantly blessed to attend as well as minister the anointing consecration of the 10 Founding Members of In My Sister’s Shadow, Inc. at their classy Tea Social (and first anniversary celebration) held at the Argyle Country Club in Silver Spring, MD. My Royal Soror of The Daughters of Christ Sorority, Prophetess Emani C. White, is the Founder of this awesome vision and mission to minister to and meet the needs of hurting women. I am so very proud of her!

Throughout the Tea Social, I met and fellowshipped with women who were hurting or had experienced hurt in a myriad of ways in their lives. Moreover, by happenstance (or should I say God’s positioning), I was honored to be seated directly next to the two women from a local homeless shelter that IMSS had handpicked to bless with complimentary tickets along with brand new clothing, accessories, hairstyles, nails and even a hotel stay the night before the event! Isn’t God awesome?

He heals and blesses us so that we in turn can heal and bless others!

Passionately, yet candidly, each of them shared their personal stories of drug use, domestic violence and so much more with myself as well as others seated at our table. I was brought to tears not only due to feeling their hurt and pain (remember, when one hurts, we all hurt), but also due to experiencing their “right now” blessings through the women (IMSS Diamonds–as the members are called) of this great organization who’d themselves at one point in their own lives faced similarly tragic experiences.

By the time we arrived at my point of ministry in the service — The anointing and consecretation of IMSS Founding Members, including the Founder and her Husband, James White, I was so filled up with God’s Love and power that all I could sing out upon approaching the podium was “Yes, Yes, Lord; yes to Your will, yes to Your way; God whatever you ask me to do, my soul says Yes Lord!”  The anointing service was truly a powerful move of God Who gets all the glory from it. The Lord was reminding me and instructing others to obey His leadership and service calls! This was the opening of the Anointing Ceremony. As I anointed and prophetically spoke a Word into the lives of each IMSS Diamond, the Holy Spirit re-anointed me as His servant Daughter.

You see, when we yield and allow our humble selves to be used by God to touch the lives of others, our anointed and Loving touch will not only bless them, but bless us too.

My Royal Soror Sharon D. Owens, as Director of IMSS Events, did such a fabulous job of planning such a classy event of women coming together in their Sunday’s best, hats and gloves for a time of tea and fellowship. More importantly, our heavenly Father performed an abundance of miracles of healing, restoration, renewal and exhortation within each and every one of us in attendance to recharge our spirit of generous service to those less fortunate or presently hurting more than we are.

Thank you my Kingdom Brother Jimmy White along with his beautiful wife, Royal Soror Emani, as well as the entire In My Sister’s Shadow family for including me in your awesome event and in your lives. I am so proud to be a IMSS Diamond (Member) myself and encourage all of my Royal Sorors to join me in support of this community serving vision.

Make a decision today to reach out and touch someone with God’s Love and your humble service. You’ll be so blessed and glad that you did!

Weeping May Endure For A Night…

A couple of weeks ago, one of my (blood) sisters were visiting our home in Brooklyn, NY to celebrate her birthday when she called me with the most horrific news that instaneously turned her trip from being a joyous occasion to a saddened one: A friend of mine had lost his 25-year-old son to gun violence leaving a 2-year-old daughter behind and one on the way in a few months. I was absolutely devasted!

I felt the pain of not only my friend (that I haven’t seen since moving away from home after college), but as a parent with two children of my own. How was my friend getting through this devastating loss of a child? At that moment, I just simply could not imagine. It made me love and appreciate all over again the two children that God has temporarily loaned to me. On the contrary, it also made me hate and abhor the gun violence our world is experiencing especially amongst the (my) African-American community’s males. As I spoke to my sister over the telephone, I was thinking, yet another family and community grieving the loss of a son gone too soon; yet another mother’s, father’s, sister’s, brother’s heart broken into pieces. My question still lingers… Why? Will somebody please tell me why?

My family and I have personally endured the grief of loosing young loved ones to gun violence. Sadly, there are few African-American families whom have not been touched (or at least know someone in their midst who have been touched) by this cruel social ill. I’ll never forget viewing my young cousins’ lifeless bodies (three to be exact–two of which were brothers killed a few years apart) in a still casket and thinking, “we were supposed to grow old together.” Anytime I hear of death by gun violence, it resurfaces my own personal painful experience all over again causing me to do what I did back then: Run into the arms of my Jesus and lay my grieving weights completely on Him!

Thank God for His Word that I read and embraced as if my life depended upon it during every grieving season: Weeping may endure for a night, BUT JOY cometh in the morning! Jeremiah 31:13 provides a promise from our heavenly Father, I will turn their mourning into joy. I thanked God for all of my friends who surrounded themselves around my family and I during our experiences of grief from death which provided us much strength. But nobody’s words (as nice as they were) could provide me the healing comfort and strength that God’s Word was able to. Through grief, I’ve learned to trust in Jesus and depend on Him more than I had before.

My thoughts are now particularly towards the mother who is now faced to raise children as single-mother without their dad. As a single mother myself, I understand clearly the challenging road that lies ahead for her. But praise God that as a Daughter of the ultimate Father, I also know without a shadow of a doubt, that by allowing her God to carry, lead and guide her, she will mother victoriously and her daughters will rise up through life successfully.

This incident has emblazened my heartfelt passion for the community service initiative that I’ve envisioned to launch, my Father Lift Her program through The Daughters of Christ, Inc., that will serve and support single mothers and her children.  It also brought back to my remembrance the police officer who was killed in a car accident in Montgomery County MD this year leaving a widow, a child and expectant triplets on the way. When I read this story, my heart broke, but I allowed it to move me into action to help this new single mom once my program is up and running as well. There are so many single mothers who need the love of a judgeless community and the compassion of a service-oriented one as well. I personally am moved into action to serve, to heal, and to love. Will you join me?

If you have recently suffered a loss and/or are experiencing grief at this time, look up, see God and allow Him to reach for you to carry and comfort you in His loving arms. Psalm 31 is my favorite to read at a time like this. I pray that you’ll find it comforting as well. You will continue to have your moments of crying or shouts of anger–that is human and a normal reaction to loss. But I also know from personal experience, that although you will never forget your loved one, you will rise to live, to love, and to leap again towards your unique purpose in life that brings you joy.

The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving. The Lord gives his people strength. He is a safe fortress for this anointed king. Save your people! Bless Israel, your special possession. Lead them like a shepherd, and carry them in your arms forever. (Psalm 28:7-9)

I dedicate this blog posting to the entire Maxey family–stand strong and see the salvation of our Lord!

I Love you my Royal Family and am praying diligently for you and your’s.

Always, Your Sister Darnella

Homeless, But Not Helpless

In my immature and younger days, I used to pray for predominantly materials things such as more money, a big house, a fancy car, a tall, dark and handsome man to call my own, and the insignificant list goes on and on and on and on. Society insinuates these things are the way to love and happiness. Or better yet, these items could position me to the “successful” social status. But one day after having had a very personal and real encounter with God which caused me to totally yield myself to Him, as well as to eagerly give myself away to others, I realized immediately that the only route to genuine love and true happiness was in the God Who created me. Now don’t get me wrong, all those aforementioned temporary items are nice and okay to have, but they are not my all and all. He, my heavenly Father, Lord and Savior is!

This past Sunday, I was so honored and blessed to have been invited as Guest Speaker at a breakfast serving to the homeless at the First Seventh Day Adventist Church of Washington, DC (thank you my Royal Family at this part of Zion for extending me such a warm and welcoming invitation). I was tremendously humbled and abundantly blessed. Since walking in ministry as His Evangelist since 2002, this was by far the most gratifying and life-changing Kingdom assignment that I’ve ever fulfilled. Breaking bread (both naturally and spiritually) with brothers and sisters who were temporarily experiencing probably the lowest points ever in their lives made me realize not only how truly blessed I am, but how good and compassionate our Father God is. In fact, it was the exact opposite of the speaking engagement I’d fulfilled just a day before–a women’s fellowship and pool party at a beautiful home on five acres of land with luxurious landscaping. Yes, the power of God moved at this assignment tremendously as well: Women received their healing as well as spiritually birthed out their passionate purposes to leave this beautiful home changed forever (myself included).

As the Holy Spirit spoke a Word of exhortation and encouragement through me to the homeless, there was not one disengaging eye or non-praiser in the house of the Lord: Everyone was praising and worshipping God along with me in the midst of their storms. I candidly shared and summed up my personal testimony by letting them know that I too had experienced having much as well as loosing everything. I stated to them, “your value isn’t determined by your current temporary circumstances, but by your position in the Kingdom of God through Jesus Christ the Lord. Trusting, believing and depending on Him can take you from the pit to the palace. You are not here to stay, but are simply passing through to gain a testimony that will bring God glory in the earth.” The anointing of God the Holy Spirit filled the room and all of us began praising God in spite of our reason for being there. I’ve unfortunately seen people with much refuse to praise God in the midst of service, but I was now witnessing those with nothing doing so. I was in complete awe! The miraculous healing virtue and saving grace of Jesus Christ reigned in the room amongst God’s people–black and white, rich and poor.

After speaking, as I normally do with Godly Love being my specialization, I traveled throughout the room embracing those who allowed me to do so. As I hugged each one, I could feel their burdens being lifted and their hearts filling with joy for the first in a long time. Tears were streaming down my face as God’s love flowing through me to them, and reciprocally, from them to me was doing so like a mighty rushing wind. To walk in the love and compassion of my Savior was at the moment the greatest gift I’d ever received or given. I didn’t want to stop, nor did I want to leave.

I took my seat so emotionally and spiritually filled up, all I could do was pray a prayer of thanksgiving to my God for choosing and using me for this particular and humbling assignment. My honor came from being in their midst, not I being in their’s.

Who can be compared with the Lord our God, who is enthroned on high? He stoops to look down on heaven and on earth. He lifts the poor from the dust and the needy from the garbage dump. He sets them among princes, even the princes of his own people! (Psalm 113:5-8)

My personal prayer to my Lord is that no matter how high he takes me in this life or how materially blessed I become, keep me a humbled, loving and giving person: May I always remember where I came from and help someone else to reach not merely where I am, but where I’m yet still going.

To all of my brothers and sisters in the world who are currently experiencing hardtimes, pains and disappointments, I say to you, hold on, your help is not on the way, but available to you right now through Jesus Christ who died and rose again just for you and I. Trouble doesn’t last always; everything will be all right!

Thank you First Seventh Day Adventist Church of Washington, DC (particularly Elder Rufus Simpkins) and Shekinah Glory Prayer Circle (Founder, Sharon D. Owens) for blessing me with the greatest and most rewarding speaking engagement or Kingdom assignment I’ve ever done.

Thank you heavenly Father for using me to fulfill it. Continue to wash and purify me so that I can be used by You Lord even the more not for fame or fortune, but for Your glory! As my Senior Pastor & Apostle Mom, Dr. Betty P. Peebles, often quotes and reminds her children at Jericho City of Praise, I am performing for an audience of one–my God–the One in Whom I trust, lean and depend on at all times!

In His Love,

America Needs A Deep-Seated Heart Change!

Over this holiday weekend, instead of traveling and keeping busy as I’ve normally done in the past, I remained home in the presence of and spent quality time with God the Father and my son DaSean.  It’s a rarity that I spend a holiday at home surrounded by my children (that includes a married daughter, son-in-Law and beautiful Grandbaby girl who visited us on Saturday), as I normally travel a distance up North or down South to celebrate with our large extended family. But God ordered my footsteps to remain home and I willingly and obediently did so. I’m so glad that I did!

I must admit that it felt so good to just stand still to rest and relax my mind, as well as get in the quiet peace and serenity of God’s presence. I read a good book, studied His Word, worked on my God-ordained purpose, took a couple of neighborhood walks, stood by the pool waters, and above all, prayed for myself as well as for my country. A recurring thought and inner passion for me throughout this weekend was my personal desire for America to stop asking a (the one and only) God it has rejected or removed itself from more progressively over the years to bless it (we know the theme song, “God Bless America, land that I love…”), and instead as His creation bless Him! It grieved my heart and spirit to realize how we oftentimes view and use God as a provisionary source, but fail to acknowledge Him as the Source of and Lord over our lives. We expect His blessings, but reject His blueprint for living as clearly written in His Word. I realized that we–beginning with me, myself, and I, needed a deep-seated heart change. A heart change that would cause me to always be submissive to my heavenly Father, selfless in my decisions of prioritizing, and service in the most compassionate way to others. Like King David (Psalm 51;10), I cried out to the Lord, create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me.

Praying and believing by faith that God had granted me a deep-seated heart change was just the beginning of actually receiving one and walking in it. In fact, this step is just the beginning. The matters of the heart are deep-seated. Therefore, changing the heart is a continual progession that is fostered through the (1) power of prayer, (2) washing of the Word of God by reading, meditating and studying upon it, and (3) activation of all God has poured into us while in His presence.

Proverbs 14:30 confirms that a peaceful heart leads to a healthy body. So not only will a deep-seated heart change, beginning with our own selves, positively affect our nation as a whole, but will also bless you and I as individual citizens. We’ll then be able to in turn bless others. A return to God not only as Father, but also as Lord (meaning Ruler, Headship, Director) over our lives, will bring America back to health so that the generations to come will live to see and experience a bright and blessed future. Hallelujah, glory to God!

As we close out the 4th of July weekend celebrations on today, may we open up our hearts to receive the Love, the Grace and the Mercy of our great God Who desires to give us an even greater nation to call our home while here on earth. My fellow Americans, bless God today by giving Him Lordship over your life. I guarantee that if you do, you will never be the same again and prepared to impact the world for His greater good.

In His Love & Compassion,
Your Sister Darnella
